Body Care for Men supports De Walk of Pride Amsterdam

At Body Care for Men, we believe in love, equality, and visibility for everyone. That is why we have made a financial contribution to the Walk of Pride Amsterdam - a meaningful initiative that stands for remembrance, emancipation, and visibility within the LGBTQ+ community.

What is the Walk of Pride?

The Walk of Pride Amsterdam will become a monumental route in the capital, connecting Dam Square to the Homomonument at Westermarkt. Along this route, bronze tiles will be placed bearing the names of iconic individuals who have dedicated themselves to equality, freedom, and LGBTQ+ rights.

This route carries powerful symbolism:

• Dam Square was, for a long time, a place of persecution - in the eighteenth century, homosexual men were sentenced and executed there.

• The Homomonument, inaugurated in 1987, was the first monument in the world to commemorate people persecuted because of their sexual orientation, and it remains a place where diversity and love are celebrated.

The Walk of Pride aims to make this history visible, to connect it, and to celebrate it - as a tribute to those who fought for the rights we cherish today.

Why Body Care for Men contributed

Our mission revolves around self-confidence, well-being, and acceptance. We understand that these are inseparably linked to being able to be yourself, regardless of your identity or orientation. From our studio, we express every day that everyone should feel free to be who they are. No matter who you are or who you love: for us, it is all about respect, confidence, and feeling good in your own body. That conviction forms the foundation of everything we do.

For this very reason, we chose to support the Walk of Pride. This special initiative connects past and present, keeps the memory of struggle and emancipation alive, and increases the visibility and pride of the LGBTQ+ community. We believe that everyone deserves to be remembered with dignity, and to be able to live freely and safely today, with a rightful place in the story of our society.

The Walk of Pride is more than a route; it is a living monument of courage, love, and history. A powerful symbol that shows how important ongoing attention and support truly are. Initiatives like this cannot exist without the involvement of businesses, organizations, and individuals who believe in an inclusive world.

That is why we at Body Care for Men are proud to have been able to contribute. And we can do so thanks in part to you. Through your visit to our studio, you enable us to contribute not only within our own walls, but also beyond them to projects that stand for inclusivity, respect, and equality.
